‘Kabaddi 5’ Grosses Rs 52.47 Million in Three Days

KATHMANDU- ‘Kabaddi 5’ has taken the top spot at the Dashain box office, grossing Rs 52.47 million in its first three days, according to its production company, Baasuri Films.

Directed by Rambabu Gurung, the film, titled ‘Kabaddi: After the Final Match’, earned Rs 52,478,682 nationwide during its first three days, the company said, citing figures received from distributors.

The Film Development Board is scheduled to publish its own box-office figures on Monday.

Based on occupancy rates and the number of screenings, the film is projected to earn another Rs 10 million nationwide on Monday.

The previous instalment, Kabaddi 4, grossed Rs 80 million at the domestic box office in its first three days. It also earned Rs 21.8 million in gross revenue at QFX, a major multiplex chain, during its opening weekend.

How much have other Dashain films earned ?

Among the three films released around the Phulpati period of Dashain, Aa Bata Aama 2 has grossed Rs 41.1 million, according to the figures provided.

‘Chha Maya Chhapakkai 2′ has earned Rs 27.6 million, while ’12 Gaun 2’ has grossed Rs 18.3 million.
