KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudhan Gurung on Wednesday presented the insignia of rank to newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Manoj Kumar KC.
At a programme held at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Gurung handed over the appointment letter to KC.
Previously, the Home Secretary had been presenting the insignia of rank to the Inspector General of Police.
Earlier, a Cabinet meeting promoted Additional Inspector General of Police KC to the position of Inspector General of Police.
The newly appointed police chief holds a PhD in Conflict Transformation from Cambodia.
Born on August 12, 1975, in Nuwakot, KC joined the Nepal Police as a police inspector on April 11, 1998.
