‘Mayali’ Song From Nepali Film ‘Sarathi’ Released

KATHMANDU- The romantic song ‘Mayali’ from the upcoming Nepali film ‘Sarathi’ has been released through Music Nepal’s YouTube channel.

The song features vocals by Prashant Siwakoti and Rachana Rimal. Siwakoti has also written and composed the track, which is based on a love story.

Directed by Kabiraj Gahatraj, the music video features lead actors Giri Bishwakarma and Gayatri Joshi performing a romantic dance. Gopal Raya handled the cinematography.

The instrumentalists include Ratna BK on flute, Manish Gandharva on sarangi, Poshan Magar on madal and Puruskar Khadka on guitar. Bisham Acharya handled music production, while Samik of Sound Ko, Mumbai, was responsible for mixing and mastering.

Directed by Kumar Gajurel, ‘Sarathi’ is scheduled for theatrical release on Mangsir 11 (November 27).

Gajurel has also written the film’s story, screenplay and dialogues.

The cast includes Niruta Singh, Uttam Pradhan, Mukunda Shrestha, Rajendra KC, Samrant Thapa, Giri Bishwakarma, Gayatri Joshi, Kalpana Thapa, Madan Thapa, Anita Kuikel, Kamala Aryal, Milan Khadka, Rashmi Gurung, Tulsi Rai, Asha Bishwakarma, Santosh Dhakal, Biplav Khadka, Sagar Kandel, Sudeep Nepal and Dhiren Karki, among others.

Produced under the banners of Kimbe Production and Dhiraj Film Infinity, the film was shot entirely in the Gurja area of Myagdi district. Tara Thapa ‘Kimbe’ is the presenter.

Radip Shrestha and Pradeep Rayamajhi are the producers, while Bek Bahadur Bishwakarma and Nabin Shrestha serve as executive producers. Avinash Rai, Dwarika Shrestha and Omisan Thapa are co-producers, and Amir KC is the line producer.

Sankalpa Bhujel handled cinematography. Tara Thapa ‘Kimbe’ is the film’s editor, Raju Khatiwada is the chief assistant director, and Yamuna Acharya and Ashish Shrestha are assistant directors.

The film’s music is composed by Babul Giri and Prashant Siwakoti. RR Films will distribute the movie.
