KATHMANDU- Bangladesh all-rounder Mahedi Hasan will play for ‘Pokhara Avengers’ in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), the franchise has announced.
‘Pokhara Avengers’ confirmed his signing in a post on its official Facebook page on Thursday, describing Hasan as one of Bangladesh’s leading all-rounders and noting that he ranks eighth in the ICC T20 International bowling rankings.
The 31-year-old has played 78 T20 Internationals and 12 One Day Internationals for Bangladesh. He has taken 78 wickets in T20 Internationals and 15 in ODIs.
Hasan has also played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for six different teams. The NPL will be his first overseas league.
Pokhara Avengers have also signed former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan for the third edition of the tournament.
The third edition of the Nepal Premier League is scheduled to begin in Kathmandu on Kartik 9.
