Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal to Lead Nepal Delegation to UNGA 81

KATHMANDU – Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal will lead Nepal’s delegation to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.

The Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to send the Nepali delegation under Khanal’s leadership to participate in the 81st session of the U.N. General Assembly.

“Approval has been granted for a Nepali delegation led by the foreign minister to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly to be held in New York, United States,” the Cabinet decision said.

The Cabinet decision confirms that Prime Minister Balendra Shah will not attend the 81st U.N. General Assembly, which is scheduled to take place in New York in the upcoming Nepali month of Asoj.
