Kathmandu – The government has appointed office-bearers at Nepal Academy, Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and Nepal Academy of Music and Drama.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah appointed office-bearers at these three academies on the basis of recommendation of separate recommendation committees formed for the appointment of office-bearers at vacant posts.
As per the press release issued by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation on Friday, Kumar Nagarkoti (Sindhuli) has been appointed as Chancellor of the Nepal Academy as well as Abinash Shrestha (Parbat) to the post of Vice-Chancellor and Roshan Sherchan (Rupandehi) as Member-Secretary.
Similarly, Arina Tamrakar (Lalitpur) has been appointed to the post of Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts while Chandra Shyam Dangol (Lalitpur) and Kailash Kumar Shrestha (Dolakha) as Vice-Chancellor and Member-Secretary respectively.
Likewise, the government has appointed Brajesh Khanal (Kathmandu) as Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama while Jhuma Benam (Taplejung) and Bhupendra Singh Rayamajhi (Morang) to the post of Vice-Chancellor and Member-Secretary respectively.
The press release issued by Ministry Spokesperson, Jay Narayan Acharya, mentioned that Prime Minister and chief patron of these academies, Shah, appointed them to the posts on August 5. Separate committees formed under coordination of Culture Minister and patron of these academies, Khadak Raj Poudel (Ganesh) had made recommendation for the appointment.
