KATHMANDU- Filming in Nepal for ‘Love and War’, the upcoming film by renowned Indian director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been completed after three days of shooting in Gorkha, Chitwan and Sindhupalchok districts.
The filming team returned to India on Sunday, according to Dilip Pant, the film’s Nepal production manager. He said the team also included a body double for actor Vicky Kaushal.
Several aerial and ground scenes were filmed in the three districts in accordance with the film’s storyline. Pant said the scenes were shot in Nepal to replicate the visuals of a location in India.
Global Reels Motion Pictures managed the film’s production arrangements in Nepal. Phurba Sherpa is the Nepal line producer.
Directed by Bhansali, Love and War stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. The film is built around love, war, relationships and emotional conflict, and is among Bhansali’s latest ambitious projects.
The story centres on two military officers and a love triangle that develops between them. Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are reportedly playing Indian Air Force officers.
The film is currently scheduled for release on January 21, 2027.
