RSP president Lamichhane Directs leaders, Cadres to Show Political Culture

Chitwan, Nov 6: President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has directed the party leaders and cadres to show utmost political culture, paying heed to people’s expectation and needs.

In a special address to a programme organized by the RSP Chitwan on Friday, president Lamichhane wondered over the change in behaviour of party leaders and cadres after the party rose to government leadership. “It is not a political character to attack the society which puts forth critical views. Party’s behaviour is evaluated by the society,” he reminded, urging party line to mend the ways.

The people have given a huge opportunity (with 182 seats in parliament) for RSP to lead the government, so party needs correcting its behaviour. Lamichhane viewed it is not time to be revengeful. “If we exert undue pressure on administration and police, we will not be able to navigate for long,” he warned.

The president of the largest political party censured party line and asked to shun arrogance. He reminded that RSP had suggested the government to work as per people’s expectation.

The chairman however claimed that there was no dispute and infighting in RSP. He also stressed on strengthening institutions including court, policy and press for robust system.
