17 Nepali Films Receive Production Permits in Shrawan

KATHMANDU – Seventeen films received production permits from the Film Development Board in the month of Shrawan, with both new and established filmmakers securing approval for their projects.

Saurabh Chaudhary received a permit for the feature film ‘Samrajya’. Saugat Malla, Dayahang Rai and Nazir Hussain have already been signed for the film’s lead roles.

Director Deepak Lama received a production permit for ‘Feri Bhetaula’. Shraddha Prasai is set to direct ‘Dear Kabya’, featuring Upasana Singh Thakuri.

Director Rishi Lamichhane is set to make ‘Ujeli’. The film’s cast includes Sabin Shrestha and singer Yash Kumar, among others.

Akash Adhikari is set to produce and direct ‘Kohinoor 2’, the second installment of the hit film ‘Kohinoor’. Uttam KC is set to produce ‘Champa’.

Chandra Pant is set to produce ‘Aamako Kakh’, featuring Bipana Thapa as an actor. Samragyee Shah’s film ‘Ekka Missi Badshah’ has also received a production permit.

Deshbhakta Khanal is set to direct ‘Pinjada 2’, while Samrat Basnet will direct and produce ‘Singha Durbar’. Upendra Bahadur Yangdembe is set to direct ‘Bakhatte’, starring Bipin Karki and Miruna Magar in the lead roles.

Other films also received production permits during Shrawan.
