KATHMANDU: The song ‘Mero Man Choryau Sutukkai’ from the upcoming Nepali film ‘Batulo Jun’, starring Anmol KC, has reached the top spot on YouTube video trending in Nepal.
Produced under the banner of Sunrise Pictures Pvt. Ltd., the song’s video was released on the day of Ghatasthapana, marking the beginning of Dashain festivities.
It has since claimed the top position in Nepal under YouTube World Top, according to the film’s production team.
The song garnered more than 500,000 views within two days of its release. The production team has described the views as genuine and organic.
The producers said the film’s recently released teaser had also received a similar level of audience engagement. While the song has topped the overall video trending chart, the film’s teaser remains at the top of YouTube’s movie chart.
‘Batulo Jun’ is scheduled to release in cinemas on Kartik 26. Audience interest in the film’s early promotional materials suggests growing anticipation ahead of its release.
The song features lead actor Anmol KC alongside debut actress Princy Khatiwada. Set against the backdrop of traditional Nepali society, the video has also drawn attention for the performances of its cast.
The on-screen pairing of Anmol and Princy has received discussion and praise from viewers and the film’s well-wishers.
The film’s screenplay has been written by Samipyraj Timalsena and Sarin Pokharel. Jia KC and Bhawishya Khadka have produced the film, with Bibek Thapa serving as co-producer.
