KATHMANDU – With Dashain over, farmers in villages are in a rush to bring in the paddy harvest. Farmers are busy cutting the ripe, yellowed paddy on Gyampe Danda in Badikhel, Lalitpur.
Farmers are engaged in cutting, drying and bringing in the paddy that has been swaying in the fields. They are hard-pressed to finish the harvest even after the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology forecast rain across the country on Friday and Saturday because of a cyclone named Arnab, which developed in the Bay of Bengal.
