Richard Gere completes filming for ‘Asymmetry’ in New York
Until recently, Gere had been filming the romantic drama ‘Asymmetry’ alongside actress Diana Silvers in New York City.
The film is based on Lisa Halliday’s 2018 novel of the same name and is directed by Edward Zwick.
Gere plays Ezra Blazer, a renowned author, while Silvers portrays Alice, a young editorial assistant. The story centres on the relationship that develops between the two after they meet by chance in New York’s Central Park.
Their relationship brings together two people at different stages of life, exploring how their connection changes their lives.
Filming began in New York in early July 2026, with Gere and Silvers spotted shooting scenes at various locations across the city.
Halliday, Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz wrote the screenplay. The film’s release date has not yet been announced.
